Too Faced, Sweet Peach palette review

by - 9:00:00 AM

Hello guys,

honestly I was pretty surprised that Too Faced brought Sweet Peach palette back with a new collection and especially I was surprised about the time when this collection launched, because Peach as a fruit is a symbol of spring / summer for me. Anyway, I don't own the palette from this new collection, but from the previous launch, which was probably in March / April / May (I'm not sure), but the quality and colors should be the same. I remember that I didn't want this palette, but because I was doing thesis to school, I decided to buy this palette as a reward after I finish it and guess what. When I decided to buy it, these palettes were sold out almost everywhere. Only one Sephora in Prague (3 hours away from my place) had last three palettes, so I had to call there and reserve one piece so my friend could pick it up for me. When she came there they told her, that they sold all these palettes, but one palette is waiting for me in different Sephora, so she had to travel 30 more minutes to finally get it. Let me tell you something, it was such a big pain in the ass, wasn't it? But honestly, this palette worth all these problems. Why? Keep reading.

Price
This palette retails for $49 on Too Faced website or in Sephora.

Packaging
The packaging is almost same like the Chocolate Bar palette - metal packaging with magnet and mirror - just only when you look very closely, you can notice that the packaging is a tiny bit bigger and thicker. Honestly this packaging is one of my favorite packaging from all palettes I own. It's solid and the magnet works very well, so you know that your eyeshadows are safe no matter what. The mirror is good quality a good size.
You get 18 shades x 0.95 g (0.03 oz), so together you get 17.1 g (0.54 oz) of eyeshadows.

Colors
I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on color selection in this palette, but honestly I think Too Faced did a perfect job with these shades. I'm a huge lover of warm shades, and this palette has some neutral and bolder warm colors - great combination. As I mentioned, you get 18 shades - matte, sheen, metallic and sparkly finishes.
You get some nice transition colors as "Peaches 'n Cream and Georgia which is necesary for palette in my opinion, some darker shades, but not black, some lighter shades and the soul of the palette are beautiful warm bold peachy colors. I think with these colors you can create a lot of eyeshadow looks. If you need some inspiration, look at my eyelooks I've created.

Pigmentation and texture
This palette is same like the Chocolate Bar palettes. Most of the shades are perfectly rich, smooth, blendable and perfectly pigmented, but you can find some colors which seem like they don't belong to this palette. The qualitty is worse and I just don't use them. Horrible pigmentation or being patchy are shades Delectable and Talk Derby To Me. Average quality I see in Candied Peach, because this color needs some time to build up. The best shades are Luscious, Cobbler, Caramelized and White Peach. The rest of the shades are great as you expected.

Application
As I mentioned, a majority of the shades has perfect payoff and buttery texture, so application is smooth and easy to blend. On the other hand some shades can be pretty tricky, patchy and just pain to work with, but fortunately there are not that many colors. I always use sticky primer before applying colors, so the pigmentation is better to build up.

Longevity
Most of the colors give me pretty much all day, but some of them fades little bit after 3-4 hours (I always use eyeshadow primer, because my lids are too much oily).

Summa Summarum … Honestly, I love this palette and I use it very often. I love the color range, but I understand that this doesn't have to be everyone's cup of tea. Altough there are some colors I don't like because of the color or texture, I still think you get a great amount of eyeshadows for the price. Do you need to buy it? Well, this question has a lot of answers. I would say yes, because I love the color selection and I am always inspired when I open the palette, but if you're more neutral person, then probably no. I heard a lot of opinions about pairing colors, so maybe if you're a beginner, you can have some problems with pairing colors, so please, consider this before buying. Anyway I'm gonna speak for myself and how I am satisfied with this palette - and yes, I am in love so I rate this palette with four and half stars.

I hope I help you guys if you considering to buy this palette. If you have it already, what do you think?

Have a great day!

Love, Michelle <3

    1. Yes! It smells like peach tea. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent, but it might be just because I don't like peaches. :D

    1. Oh, it breaks my heart, but totally get it that this is not everyone's cup of tea. The Royal Peach palette from Kylie Cosmetics might be better option for you. ;)

    1. Thank you so much. I think you should go shade by shade and decide if you would use it or not, then count how many times you said yes and no you and then decide. :)
