Hello lovelies,

It's been a year, a whole freaking year, since I started this blog and I'm so happy that I can be here with all of you now and thank you for the experience you've given me throughout this time. I started to blog when I had to deal with some problems and life changing decisions. I cut most of my friends and family off and just needed to dig myself a hole, be invisible and run away to my fiction world. I was preparing this blog for such a long time, but this bottom of my life made me to actually write my  very first post for Michelle Morchella and I'm so glad that I did. Thanks to this blog I got my life back together and it made me to enjoy my life again. I connected with so many amazing and kind beauty enthusiastics in blogging community who showed me that people can be nice and supportive. 

It seems like it was yesterday when I type first "hello" to the world, but so much has happened. The concept of Michelle Morchella changed from only eye look posts to more reviews, Sunday Survey and Monthly Recap series. My camera setting has improved a lot (but don't get me wrong, I'm still not satisfied enough and I have a lot of things to work on) and my makeup skills changed and improved. I started to use Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest again. I've learnt how to chat with other people on Twitter, how to promote in link up parties and how to work with sooo many websites connected to blog. I found out how to make my own header, how to code links and how to improve SEO.

Blog gave me so much, but it took a lot as well. I spend more time on my laptop and phone, being addicted to social medias I always tried to avoid. I've had some downs, when I didn't know what to write and how to connect with readers again. I wanted to give up when I was loosing my fake followers, when I didn't reach numbers I dreamt about, but then I realised that this is not about numbers, but about my passion. I am here for myself and for meeting friends who have the same interests  like I do and for reading and discovering new blogs.

today's post is gonna be about something else than makeup, skincare and eye looks. I think I've never  wrote anything like this before, but I've got a lot of stuff on my mind. I haven't been in the happiest place in my life for a few months now and I feel like I need to tell someone. I'm not the person who actually tells people every problem I have and rather keep them for myself and deal with them, but it's not always so easy, right? I'm pretty sure that all of you know this feel. Sometimes we need to do something to make us just a little bit happier at the moment and that's what I would like to talk about today..

I'm having something like existential crises. I'm getting out of the relationship after four years. I know four years are not that long time, but I've been through a lot with this person. He made me feel like no one else before, he helped me to actually start to love myself for the first time, he taught me a lot of thing and gave me a chance to experience a lot of adventures. He also showed me my dark side of me and I've been gone through hell with him. We loved and hated each other at the same time since the beginning, but last year it was just a roller coaster. He gave me a chance to live better life and now it's just ruined. I'm starting from the bottom, alone. I have to take care of myself and it's just not so easy if your job is just one big terror and it's not something what you would love to do, when your dreams are slowly disappearing, when people around you somehow live your life you dreamed about .. Loving husband, kids, dog, kitty, nice big house in Texas, make up career, money, traveling,  …just be free .. That's what I could've had and won't have anymore. Let's just say that growing up  and being on your own sucks at the moment and I can't wait to actually find my new start again. Too many donws past two years, so where is the end? Who knows, but I'm very grateful for these little moments what makes me feel better at least a little bit and I would love to share them with you. I hope I didn't turn you off thanks this little emotional paragraph and I promise you won't see them often, haha. And now, let's jump into my tips what makes me feel better when I feel down.

Spending time with my mom

Well, this is fifty fifty. My mom always makes me feel better, she cuddles me, listen to me and makes sure that I am in better mood. I am very grateful for this, because she's my best friend and I love her so much. On the other hand, I always have to talk to her, she always needs to know what happened and most of the time I'm just not ready to say it out loud. Sometimes I wish she wouldn't see me in these states of mind.

Cuddling with cats

This always helps me. They always make me feel better, because I love them just way too much. My beloved half Main Coon cat Stephan is just adorable cutie pie and thanks to his love the world can't be as black as it shows up. Honestly, I can't wait to bring another cutie pie to my mini family (it's gonna be less in two months) and hopefully, if my financial situation is gonna be okay, I would love to buy a puppy next year.

Long Hot Bath

There is always this need after happening something bad - taking a long hot bath with my ears plugged and listening some good music. I always spend there at least 30-40 min and after that I always feel better.

Netflix

Yes, it's Netflix. Generaly I love being home, because I'm introvert and loner and when I feel depressed this need just doubles. I would never feel better to go out and shake it off like everybody  would advice, so the best time is going to bed and watch enormous amount of TV shows.  The sad fact of this is, that Netflix is still paid by my ex boyfriend and I'm just counting the days when he cuts me off...

Makeup

Makeup is my best friend and it helped me to raise my self-confidence. When I feel down, I love to watch youtube videos, read other's blog, putting full face of glam or just being crazy with colors. There is nothing wrong with that, no one can see me and no one can judge me. 

Online Shopping

Yes, the best - worst thing in the world. There is something so relaxing about shopping online. You just click and click and click and then you're done. You have something to look forward. The best therapeutic session for your soul, just the bank account suffers.

Well, I think this is it and I know this is not something revolutionary, what you might've expected, but these things really helps me. And now … What is your best thing to do when you are depressed? I would love to read your tips and maybe try something new next time.

Well, there is no need for words. Créme Brulée is the best lipgloss for me and I wear it nonstop. I still can't believe that I didn't run out the bottle. It's perfect pink with great pay off, but still little bit sheer. This bad boy is everything I need in my life. I hope they will never discontinue this color.

Hello lovelies,

some of you might noticed that I haven't been posting anything last week and I haven't been active on Twitter either. I'm not going to write hundreds apologizing words in this article, because I think it's okay and sometimes it's needed to take a break from social medias and life. On the other hand I think we deserve something like a heads up and thoughtful post about being okay to be MIA.

Last week I was emotionaly and physicaly drained. I don't know if I mentioned that before, but I always plan and prewrite posts at least one or two days before publishing, but last week I just couldn't. More than a half of co workers were sick, so we had to take some double shifts, I got cold too, so it wasn't a better either. And on the top of everything, I had some really bad days in work - I accidentally got myself in many troubles (for example: on Saturday I was the first one in work and wanted to open back door for delivery guy so he didn't have to wait for another 10-15 min, so without thinking I opened coded door inside and I set the alarm on, now you can pretty much imagine what happened - police in heavy armor immediately arrived and I had to explain that I didn't try to robber my work).

So anyway everyday from last week I came home, took a short shower or bath and went to sleep rigt away. Plus I worried about my kitties. The youngest devil had castration on Tuesday and Soul (the one with neurological problems) got scabies, so we have to give her a special care three times a day. So… I didn't have time to watch my videos, show, read any blogs or post anything on Twitter. The only pleasure I afforded was reading a book on the way to work and back and ordering the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, because our Sephora had 20% sale. But I don't regret anything. My mental and physical health and family (yes, my kitties are members of my family and they are very important for me) are more important to me than makeup. Yes, I said it, such a big sin to a makeup God, haha. 

What I'm trying to say here is that I think it's okay and sometimes you really should take a break from things and focus on something / someone what / who is more important. Plus a break from social media can be very relaxing. You don't have to think about all the drama of following and unfollowing, about being successful or about "if I'll be on schedule". Just relax, because life is too short to stress about many things and I'm not saying that the Internet is bad thing, but sometimes people can be too rude that it hurts. And maybe thanks this you will see who actually stands with and for you. My inactive week discovered that I lost some of my followers on Twitter. For the first time I was sad, but then I realised that I don't want fake followers. I want "love" from someone who actually likes my effort and content. Someone who is important and friendly. So this "clearance" was actually a good thing. 

The closure of this post should be… Please, if you have some struggle or just feel little bit off, without inspiration or very deep down with your mental and physical health, don't be sorry a just take a break. Shut everything off, make a relaxing mood (light a candle, have some chocolate cake, take a bath, cuddle with pets, read a book, watch a TV or simply go to sleeep) and just enjoy the quiet. Don't be ashamed to say "I need a break", because you're not a robot. We all need some fresh starts from time to  time and it's always good to deal with it. Because let me tell you something, if you will keep everything inside yourself and go everyday for 110%, one day it will be way too much for you and you will collapse. No one wants that, so please … Take a break.

how I wrote in my latest post (Loyk Fantastic Beauty Box - if you've missed it, check it out here) I started in new job last week, so I have been busy since then. I need to find a balance between work and blog, which I've already mentioned, but what I'm trying to say.. Because of time consuming work my daily makeup routine had to change. In my morninh shifts I have to be there at 6:45 am, so I'm pretty sure that everyone understands that if I shouls choose between waking up at 5:30 and having no makeup day or waking up at 4:45 am and having full face glam day, I rather go with the first option. So how my no makeup makup day routing looks like? Keep on reading.

Because my skin is not perfect and I have some blemishes and scars, I need to cover them. This is my old time grammar school trick - using Acnecolor in light. This is pharmacy concealer, because it promise coverage and speeding process in healing blemishes. I don't see the speeding process though, but I really like the coverage and shade. It blends with my skin tone perfectly, so at the end it looks like I don't have anything on my face. If I don't have Acnecolor near to me, I use Maybelline Age Rewind concealer. After covering my red spots I always powder my face. This Rimmel Stay Matte powder mattify my face and gives a little bit of coverage, so my face looks smooth and concealed without using foundation. I don't have time for perfect brows, but I can't leave the house without them, so I always used this chunky brow pencil from Catrice. I really like the shade, because it has ashy undertone. I fill my brows and I'm ready to go. Almost … I love eyeshadows, but I can't do a simple one color look (I always ended it up with mixture of 6-10 shades, which takes some time to blend), so I don't use them. Only what I do is mascara, right now I'm using this Maybelline Lash Sensational. I'm planning a review on this, but still can't decide if I love it or hate it. 11 months from the year I'm pale and have "vomitting" face how my mom says, so I always need to add some life to my cheeks. I don't have time to contour and put a blush, so I use Benefit Dallas, which works like blush and contouring shade. Easy peasy. To finish the look I use regular lip balm, or if I want something "better", I use this Butter Gloss from NYX which is my all time favorite lip gloss. And voilà, I'm ready to go. This usually takes me 10 minutes.

honestly today is my first day when I'm writing this post an hour before publishing. I feel kinda in pressure, because I always schedule posts at least for a week before. Last week I started in new job which kinda took me all my free time. I need to find balance between work, family, blog and social media, so please be patient with me.

I ordered one month subscription box on Look Fantastic website for £15 ($ 18.92). I was pleasantly surprised how fast this was. I order and in two days I got e-mail about deliverying package. This rosy-hued highlighter promise to illuminate cheeks and nourish the skin thanks the Cocoa Butter. If I'm not wrong, this should be a full size packaging for $19.95

Pixi By Petra, Brow Tamer

This product was a sneak peek, so I already knew I would get this. Brow gels are huge trends in last two years, so I'm so happy to  try this clear brow gel, because it promises long wearing fixation to brows plus extracts from Aloe Vera and Panthenol. This is also a full size product for $15.

Nuxe, Lotion Tonique Douce

I'm not a big fan of rose scent, but this tonique with rose petals smells great. I hope this products is gonna work, because they said it should shrink my pores and nourish the skin. How amazing benefits, right? This is just a travel size (34 ml / 1.1 fl. oz.) for $2.53

The Vintage Cosmetic Company, Rose Gold Tweezers

You never have enough tweezers and these beautiful rose gold tweezers look like heaven. They promise to be gentle to skin without causing irritation. This product costs $10.

Plus you get a current Elle magazine and Beauty Box guide - info about the products + some articles, advices and recipe. 

Calculating

One of the biggest questions is if this box is actually worthy? Let's do the math. I paid almost $19 and I got products for almost $74 - So YES, this box is definitely worthy!

What am I excited for?

Honestly? I'm excited for everything. I think my very first beauty box is very successful and I'm thinking about subscibing for 6 or 12 months. On the other hand I wish I got bigger size of the hair mask, because this packaging will be only for one use and this is not enough for me to decide if I would like to purchase the full size.

It's beginning of the year and you might still wondering what planner you should buy? Well, I would like to introduce you The Happy Planner from Me & My Big Ideas. This brand is quite new on the market, but they became famous in very short time and I totally understand why. The way how the planner is created and how many options you got are absolutely incredible. Now you might ask yourself, what is actually The Happy Planner? Well, The Happy Planner is basicaly a planner for organizing your life and achieving goals, BUT…The Happy Planner is also designed for writing down your memories, being creative with decorating,… You can actually do whatever you want to.  Doesn't it sound perfectly? Are you already interested? Awesome, now you got a lot of options to choose from. You can choose from three different sizes - mini, classic or big. A week before Christmas I was so lucky to find Create 365 The Happy planner 12 Month Box Kit for $13 at Michaels. I apologize, but I don't have the box and all the stickers, because I've already used some of these, so I leave a link to the box I have. Create 365 boxes or kits are classic undated planners with 4 sheets of stickers, 2 magnetic bookmarks and 4 sticky note pads. The point of this planner is that you can create your own planner - you can start whenever you want to, because all 365 days and 12 months you get as stickers, so you can stick the dates and months whenever and wherever you want to, just customize.

When you open the planner, you can see the front page where you are supposed to write / decorate section about you. As you can see above, I used watercolors and wrote Czech version of my name with pink gel pen. Every month has different color and is divided with unique layouts, and monthly goals, important dates and some informations. After this next two pages are mohly overview and then the month begins. If you're not satisfied how it goes consecutively, you always can take all pages and customize them in your particular order. 

Now I would like to show you, how I decorated my first 6 pages. I love using watercolors, stamps, washi tapes and stickers. I'm not saying that I am perfect, very good or even artist, believe me, I'm probably the worst  decorater in the whole world, but I really enjoy doing this and I don't care what other people think about it. So if I can do it, you can too, BECAUSE… This is your planner, this belongs to you and you should enjoy decorating it. Never look back and NEVER stop just because someone tells you that you're not good at it. Bullshit! You are your own artist, so don't be afraid to try it out, maybe you are or gonna be a real artist! Just be happy and enjoy it. :)

Hello guys,

first week of 2017 is behind us and I thought it was time to finally decide which products I loved in 2016. Honestly, I've discovered a lot of great products (for example Butter Bronzer from Physician Formula, etc…) by the end of the year, but I don't think it would be fair to include them in here. So hopefully in 12 months these products will be here, in this picture and I will write about them as the best products of 2017.

These products in the picture above are products I used the whole year, most of them I bought in January or February, so I can honestly say, that these few are real badasses. 

Bione, Alore Vera Cleansing Facial Skin Tonic

This skin tonic I've discovered accidentally when I was in local supermarket. I've heard some good reviews about this brand, so I was glad that this product wasn't a miss. This contains Aloe Vera which  gives the skin vitality and elasticity and Panthenol which calms and hydrate the skin. I use this every morning and evening and I'm very satisfied. This is my 3rd or 4th bottle.

Lush, Mask Of Magnaminty

I wrote a review on this mask and rated it with 5 stars, so I think that says it all, so if you were interested to find little bit more, go and check it out the review here.

Too Faced, Sweet Peach palette

Sweet Peach palette is beautiful palette with great quality of shades. I literally used this palette almost every day and always created something new. I love this palette so much, that it is probably the best palette from all of these I own. I wrote a review last week, so don't hesitate and read it!

Too Faced, Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Milk Chocolate

Oh my, this product is a bomb! I fell in love after I applied it for the first time. It's matte, perfectly pigmented, doesn't wear off, looks natural and smells like chocolate! What else do you need? 

Rimmel, Stay Matte powder

This is the best setting powder from drugstore for me. It's light enough for my pale skin and does the job perfectly. It gives some coverage, so if you're looking for something translucent, this won't be the perfect product for you. BUT if you don't mind some extra coverage and matte finish, you will love it as I do (you actually can see the hole, right?)

Sephora, Colorguard Eyeshadow Primer 12HR

This eyeshadow primer is the best alternative for any high end primers. Eyeshadows stay on all day without creasing, but now I have to say, my heart is broken, because Sephora discontinued this product from their line. WHY?? WHY Spehora?

NYX, Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige Pearl

I remember watching Nicole from Young Wild and Polishes how she was raving about Nars Hot Sand lip gloss. By the time these glosses weren't available here in the Czech Republic, but I knew I needed something like this in my life. I went to Douglas and saw this gloss and immediatelly knew that I have to have it. Since then, this is one of my favorite glosses in my collection. I wore it for my step sister wedding and I got a lot of compliments on my makeup. 

Color Club in Cherubic

Holographic nails started to be super popular a year ago and I couldn't have missed this trend either. This is not the best nail polish when it comes to longevity, but the color! Gosh, holo forever.

Happy New Years guys!

Today is officialy first day of 2017. How do you feel? And how was your holiday? I know, I haven't post anything for the last week, but I decided to take some days off so I could've spent them with my family and guess what.. After all family visits I caught a bad flu, so the last 5 days I've spent in bed with fever. Besides this little unexpected event, my Christmas was perfect. Maybe the best one so far. My brother was so adorable with his presents and mom's happiness about her new coffee maker were  thousands dollars worthy. But I got great presents too. As I wrote in my Dear Baby Jesus post that I didn't wish or expected anything from beauty section, so all my presents might not be that much interesting for you guys. On the other hand, I appreciate every gift I got, because that reminds me that there are some people who care about me. :)


I didn't take a picture of all my presents, just some of them, but I got everything I had in my letter to Baby Jesus - Fitbit Alta, hair curler, set of pens and table calendar with cats and more.. Probably the best gift of this year is the electric toothbrush, now on I finally feel like my teeth are perfectly clean and hopefully it will help me with my problems. Christmast can't be Christmas without some tea and mugs, slippers and cozy clothes. And something I didn't expected but love so much is Smoothie maker / blender. Wasn't I just lucky again?😊

But let's get to the point of this post which is New Year's Resolutions. I know it's very popular to do it, but I would like to know if you guys do that too? When I was younger, I usually had something like "finally loose my weight" and so, but I never paid too much attention to actually do it. It is very weird for person who needs everything planned. I don't know if I ever mentioned that my life needs to be very organized? If not, well now you know. I have problems with something what I didn't know about before, or what I didn't count with. So I'm practicaly pretty boring person, I know. 😅 Anyway, back to the main topic. In December I was thinking a lot about resolution and I think I am finally ready to make some list and hopefully keep it. So let's just jump into it.

Blog - I started to write this blong last year by the end of June. Before that I planned this for a long time, maybe 2 years? During the planning phase plus the beginning of blogging I had different image  about this blog. I wanted to focus only on eye looks. After two months I decided to change the view  and started to be more personal and more about beauty products. And I'm happy about the result. This year, I'd like to try improve little things on this blog - templates, pictures, backgrounds,… And add something more- more reviews and opinions, and maybe a little view on something what is not related to beauty - cooking - baking - reading, …

Not to be that lazy - Oh yeah, I'm very lazy person, but because I got my Fibit Alta for Christmas, I would like to start be more active. It's nice to try how many steps I walked, or how long I was active. I'm still in my twenties so I shouldn't be the person who always sits on his butt.

Fresh start - From last year I have been going through difficult time. I kinda lost myself somewhere between life and school. I don't think you want to hear my "depression period", so long story short… This year I'd like to finally try work on what is good for me and for my mental happiness. I would like to work on my future - work and home. I need to fight my anxiety, forget my past and find my new fresh start.

Read one book per month - I think I mentioned this in one of my Sunday Survey series, that I used to read a lot of book when I was in elementary school and high school. I was actually book junkie and my favorite place was library. Since I went to university, I stopper and prefered watched movies and tv shows. Now, this needs to change. I'm not expacting miracles, that I will read five books per month, but I'd like to try read one book per month. And to force myself and prove you guys, I would like to add little section to my Monthly Recap about book I read that month.

Once in a month try to cook or bake something I've never tried before - I like to cook and bake, but I'm lazy to do it. Or let me be clear, I'm lazy to try new things. I always see these amazing recipes on tv or on the Internet and always says "I need to try" and guess what? Never happened. So now, I wold like to try new recipe every month and report that on my blog.

Finally donate my blood - I've been dreaming about donating my blong since I was a kid. My grandfather and father donate blood their whole life and both of them got a lot of appreciation for help.  I could've donated my blood since I was 18 years old, but for some reason, I never did. This year I would like to change. I would like to go to my first appoitment and if I will be a good candidate, I would like to become a  regular donor.

Start to wear red and purple lipstick - I always care about what people think about me. When I started to wear full face of glam, it took me a lot of time to get used to that I'm little bit different that the others (I have a feel like in the Czech Republic, except Prague, people don't follow fashion and makeup trends, which is totally ok, because everyone can do whatever they want to do, but the problem is, if you are little bit different than the others, then people look at you and judge you). Today I can proudly say, I am not ashamed to wear smokey eyes with extremely long fake lashes and fat contouring during the day. But when it comes to red or purple lipstick, there is this little warm back in my head which tells me NO, that's too much. And I decided to fight this little monster and start to wear these colors, becayse they are gorgeous!

Be creative - When I was in USA, I bought my Create 365 Happy Planner, which I would like to decorate. Because of this I bought new watercolors, brushes, some washi tapes, stickers, stampers, inks and more. This year I hope I will try to be creative - decorating planner and drawing some pictures of makeup which I can hang on my walls.

That would be everything for my New Year's Resolution. You tell me guys if you have resolution as well and if you really keep them.

OH-MY-GOD! It's tomorrow!! Tomorrow is Christmas Day and I can't wait to wake up and finally enjoy the day! The day I waited for … How long? Oh yeah, a whole damn year. 😂 And because of that I thought it would be nice to take you throughout the Christmas Day in my family. Hopefully you will enjoy as much as I do. 

23rd of December

Our Christmas tradition actually begins day before on 23rd of December. This day is very important to prepare everything for the next big day. Because I have a young brother who actually believes in Baby Jesus, we do everything to make him believe for a few more years. The day before, me and brother always help Baby Jesus to decorate Christmas tree, because we understand that he has a lot of work to do. We always listen Christmas carols or watch a  Christmas movie with hot Christmas tea. And how we decorate our tree? We never can't miss hanging gold coins from chocolate with balls and lights. On top of the trea is always topper with two or three balls, no star. When we are done with decorations, the very last step is putting gold or silver all over the tree (gold or silver is actually gold / silver paper shreded in long strips). After decorating Christmas tree we set Bethlehem on dresser in family room, decorate the whole room with little Christmas decorations and of course cookies and sweets must be on table. In the evening after my brother falls asleep we put presents under the tree, close the door to family room, so it can't be opened untill Baby Jesus ring the bell.

24th of December

Morning

Everyone usually wakes up at the same time (around 8 am), because we always sleep in one room (tradition and plus because my room is behind the family room, which is closed). We enjoy first hour in bed talking about the day, singing carols, or just playing games. After that we all sit around dining table where we eat home made vánočka = sweet bread with hot cocoa or coffee. When we are done, it's time to spend some time with my brother (mom is always in the kitchen preparing lunch and potatoe salad for dinner). Me and brother usually play some games or watch youtube videos, this year I'm betting that we are gonna play Pokemon Go, because he is obsessed and when I said obsessed, I mean more than obsessed. I've never seen anyone like that with this game in my life. 😅


Afternoon
Lunch is ready, so everyone is going to sit to the table again. We always have two courses - pea or lentil soup and main course - Kuba (I have no idea if it has translation to English, but I would translate it as Jacob). Kuba is old Czech food as knows food of poor people. This food is very simple, only hulled grain with mushrooms and peas, because tradition says you shouldn't eat meat till Christmas dinner, if you keep this promise you will see gold pig (another tradition). After lunch we wash all dishes and clean kitchen. Then we have time to get ready for a walk and the evening. So  we usually put some makeup on and do our hair. Now it's time for coffee. Me and mom are addicted to caffeine, so we always enjoy are coffee break. If we are not super full we eat some sweets as well. Around 3 pm we go for a walk. This is common tradition in Czech. We walk, talk, look at the decorations, if it's snow we make snowman or angels. We all love this time.


Evening
Christmas Eve is the most magical time of the year. After we come back home from the walk, we change our clothes for something more festive and elegant. Mom starts to fry the carp and me and brother set the table - plates, glasses, knives, forks, drinks, potatoe salad, napkins - plus light the candles, play Christmas carols, … Just everything what we could possible need during the dinner, because there is tradition that no one can leave the table untill everyone is done with the food. Dinner is ready - the best meal of the day (potatoe salad and fried carp). After food, me and brother go to his room, close the door and race with floating candes while mom is "playing" Baby Jesus - turn on the lights on Christmas tree, light the candles, … you know, just preparing the surprise. Brother is always super nervous and impatient. When finally Baby Jesus ring the bell, we can finally open the family door and enjoy the beauty. We open our presents, while we watching Three Wishes for Cinderella.

As I mentioned before my top top top Christmas movie is How the Grinch stole Christmas! This movie means a lot to me and it is always the first movie I watch in Christmas time. Second one would be Three wishes for Cinderella (Czech version of Cinderella) which is always played when we open our presents.

Hello guys, 

today I'd like to share with you my Christmas wishlist aka letter to Baby Jesus. Now, you might be wondering why Baby Jesus but not Santa Claus. Well that's simple, in my culture we get presents from Baby Jesus not from Santa Claus. Don't worry guys, I'll post a story about our traditions very soon, so keep posted.

I still remember days when I wrote my letters, put them behind my window and couldn't have woken up to see if my letters are really gone. And guess what, they always were. I remember the feel of happines and joy that Baby Jesus actually noticed that I wrote him and didn't forget me. Aww, how sweet childhood is..  Anyway, lately I always had one or two big wishes and that's it and this time is no difference. Because I treated myself with a lot of beauty products here in USA, so my Christmas letter is going to be everything but not makeup. Weird, right? I know. Also my mom is totally vice versa. She doesn't use anything except facial cream. Yes, your heard right. No mascara, no foundation, no eyeshadow and no lipstick. I totally get that, not everyone has to be beauty junkie like me and you guys. So I never expect anything beauty related, because my mom just doesn't know what to buy. :)

Hello guys,

I'm not participate in Blogmas posts, which kinda makes me sad. I wish I was at home where Christmas is very important for everyone. We have beautiful decorations, lights, candles and the atmosphere! It's exactly what would you expect from Christmast mood - wrapped in fluffy blanket, having hot chocolate / coffee / Christmas tea / Christmas hot punch and watching Christmas movies. Right now being in Cali, where weather is super hot for winter, surrounded with people who are not into Christmas mood as I used to know from my family,… These things makes me feel like Christmas  is not behind the corner and don't put me in Christmas mood at all. But because I love Christmas so much, I can't stay behind and I need to post at least some  Christmas posts, so I hope you will like them. 

Uff, that was very long and irrelevant intro for today's post. I'm sorry. :D So get back to my Christmas movie list for this year. :)

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Believe or not, but the Grinch is my favorite, beloved, number one Christmas movie. This is the first movie I always watch when Christmas comes. I'm in love with him so much, that I could replay it three or four times during Christmas. :D The jokes, songs, characters, … everything is perfect. If you haven't seen this movie, then I have a question for you "Who are you?"

2. Three Wishes For Cinderella

This movie I'm pretty sure you don't know. This is Czech old version of Cinderella from 1973. This movie we play always when we unwrap our Christmas gifts. It is our little family tradition which my mom created, because she's in love with this movie. Nowadays I can't imagine Christmas tree and presents without Three wishes for Cinderella. If you ever have a chance to watch this movie, let me know, how you like it.

3. The Night Before Christmas

I remember the day when I watched this movie for the first time I must say, I did't like it at all. I prefered the Corpse Bride much more then this movie. But you know what? After so many years this became one of my favorite Christmas movie. I don't know how Tim Burton can make every movie so great!

4. Give the Devil His Due

You guys, sometimes I wish you all could speak in my language, so I could show you so many great movies and things in Czech. This movie can't be missed during Christmas either. It's about good and bad people and the devil with his hell. This is tradition and I recommend this to everyone. 

5. Love Actually

I tell you a secret. I'm actually not a big fan of romantic movies at all, but this one is something special. I love these mini episodes connected with love and Christmas. And mainly Colin Firth is in this movie. Oh gosh, this guy has such an indescribable charisma which I think is super sexy. Oh yeah, this guy could have been my dad, but still, I love him. 

6. The Polar Express

This movie needs a little patience. First half of this movie always seems to be slow and boring, but when you finish it, you realize many things. This movie always remind to believe and not give up.

7. Saving Santa

This movie is quite new in my Christmas collection, but I'm glad I did discovered it. I know it not might be a the best movie of all time and a lot of people found this stupid, but because how silly and funny it is, that's why I love it. It always makes me smile.
