Speckled Wood Butterfly

Hello lovelies,

I know, I haven't been active on commenting other's blogs lately and I'm so sorry guys. I do miss reading your posts, but life got in a way, you know, right? I applied for this job I really wanted to get, but they rejected me, because I don't have the right training and education, so I've decided to sign up for this training and go back for two semesters into "school" which is starting in September / October 2017. Then I've got some troubles with Dory (the youngest cat in my family). She's not gaining her weight as she supposed to. Her ribs, cheek and chin bones show up on her body and that's not right. She eats, but not enough and we don't know what to do. So if you have any tips how to make it better, let me know. I've been feeding her with different types of raw meat, curd cheese and tried to "force" her into dry food, but she hasn't been the biggest fan of it since the beginning. So yes, I am little bit desperate here. Right now I am one big ear to listen all your advices. 😊

Let's back to the topic why are we here for. Speckled Wood Butterfly is a brown butterfly with a yellow spots and that's where I got this inspiration for this look - dark brown with a tuch of yellow and gold glitters. Of all the looks I've done here, this one belongs to one of my favorites and I'm curious what are you gonna think of that!

This look was easy to create and I feel like I'm telling this sentence over and over, haha. First of all, I started with the transition shade Milk Chocolate, then I continued with the Semi-Sweet in my crease to make it little bit darker and prepare this for the super dark brown lid. Triple Fudge is the perfect dark brown for this look. All these three mentioned shades were from Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. Now it comes to the fun part. I've been in love with this custard / mustard yellow from Morphe Brushes 35B palette and that's what I use in my inner corner and inner parts of my eye lid and lower lash line. And to make it pop and little bit more interesting, I used the gold glitters eyeliner from NYX in Crystal Silk and some random eBay gold sparkles. I made the same process on the lower lash line, so it matched the top situation on the eye. Never leave the eyelook without false lashes - this one is from eBay as well. And voila, here we are.

Eyes:
Too Faced, Chocolate Bar palette
Morphe Brushes, 35B palette
NYX, Crystal Silk Gold Liquid Crystal Liner
eBay gold sparkles

Eyebrows:
Benefit, Ka-Brow!

Eyelashes:
eBay lashes

What do you think about this look?

Have a great day!

Love, Michelle <3

  1. This is so so beautiful! I definitely get butterfly/fairy vibes from it. I hope your cat gets better, that sounds so sad! Have you tried wet canned cat food? We used to mix it in with dry food when my cat got older so he could chew it easier.

    1. Thank you Katie for your opinion. She's pretty picky, she won't even lick the wet canned food, haha.

  8. Such a beautiful look! The yellow is unexpected but looks gorgeous. And best of luck with your cat! My cat doesn't eat a lot but I think as long as there's food available cats are pretty good at looking after themselves. If you're really worried, take it to the vet?

    1. Thank you, hun. Dory doesn't starve, she's just picky and I think she needs more than just raw meat. Now I'm just looking for some advices and maybe later if I can't find anything, I'll ask vet. :)

  11. Your eye looks are always stunners Michelle - this one is very very special, the gold and sparkles on the inner corner are like a patch of sunshine ♥ My cat is the fussiest one I've ever had - there's such a variety of stuff in the cupboard because she often turns her nose up at something she wolfed down last week! For when she's especially picky, I have those little sachets of broth - at least that way she's getting some vitamins. And goodness, don't stress about not commenting on other blogs - we all go through stages when there's just not enough hours in the day to do everything we want to do, and in my case it's permanent! I can only manage to catch up with whoever joins in Ingrid's linkup, and maybe a couple more, and that's in a good week xxx
