STARSKIN, EYE CATCHER SMOOTHING COCONUT BIO-CELLULOSE SECOND SKIN EYE MASK

Hello lovelies,

today I'm bringing you another review and this time it's gonna be about Eye Catcher Smoothing Eye Mask from Starskin. I got this in one of my beauty boxes, so I was happy to try something new.

Price
Because I got this in my beauty box, I'm not sure how much I paid for this, but when I searched this online, I found out that one packaging costs around $10. You can buy it at douglas, Beauty Bay or Look Fantastic's sites.

Packaging
This is a sheet mask, which comes in normal plastic packaging. I only got one pair, but if I understood well, in normal packaging you get two units, what makes it much better deal.

Texture and scent
The serum has runny gelish consistency with really odd scent. I feel like I judge a lot, but I can't lie to myself or you. It wasn't that strong scent, but still I could've smelled the chemicals inside - I hated it.

Application
According the instruction, I was supposed to open the packaging and squeeze some of the serum and massage it around my eye are. Then take the pad, remove two protecting sheets and place it under the eye. Leave it there for about 10 to 15 min and after throwing the pads away, massage the rest of the serum into the skin again.

Final thoughts
I was so excited to try this mask, because the sheet mask has been a big trend lately. So I did everything I was supposed to according the instruction and I have some pros and cons. Because of the serum was kinda runny, I need it just a tiny bit to cover my eye area- not sure if it's good or bad. When I applied the mask, first thing what I felt was cooling efect, but after a minute it started to be warm - not the best feeling at all -> not sure if it was bad reaction or if it was supposed to be like that. After 15 minutes I took it off and applied the serum twice again. Then I took 2 hours break to start noticing some results. The skin was tacky and it crumbled after the touch - not sure if it was my fault because I put two more layers there. My skin felt hydrated, no puffines and it did fill my pores. On the other hand it didn't help me with dark circles at all. So when I count pros and cons, I did like this product, but I don't think I would have to jump onto website and order it right away. Because of that I rate this product with four stars.

Have a great Wednesday!

Love, Michelle <3

  7. Thanks for sharing your review! I am always on the look out for good eye masks and I have had some before that seem to heat up after a couple of minutes too and it is such a weird sensation, especially when I am hoping for a more cooling effect under my eyes! x

    1. Yes, exactly! I prefer cooling effect instead of heating up.
