Warm Smudged Eyeliner

by - 9:00:00 AM

Hello guys,

today I want to show you my version of smudged eyeliner for everyday makeup. You might already know that I prefer warm tones on my eyes so I used the Zoeva, Cocoa Blend palette. Hope you guys enjoy this look, because I love how it turned it up.

First I applied eye primer from Sephora and set it with Cocoa Creme (Too Faced, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar). I took a big fluffy brush, dipped into Substitute For Love (Zoeva, Cocoa Blend) and with circle motions I focused on the outer part of eye.

Then I took smaller fluffy brush, took Freshly Toasted (Zoeva, Cocoa Blend) and put it in same place like the Substitue For Love to create more depth.

Next I created line with Infusion (Zoeva, Cocoa Blend), I used angled brush.

With smaller fluffy brush I tried to blend that line using a little bit of Infusion and Freshly Toasted

I put black eye pencil in my water line and smudged that out with Infusion and Freshly Toasted as well.

Applied some mascara and false lashes. Used Butter Pecan (Too Faced, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar) to highlight inner corner and area under the brow bone.

What you guys think about smudge eyeliners? Is it yout kind of thing or prefer sharp eyeliner?

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Love, Michelle <3

  1. That is a stunning eye look and I am amazed at how well blended and the gradient of each colour is. Every time I try to take a picture of my eye makeup it just look so muddy. This sounds simple and quick and thank you for the step by step picture tutorial.

I dig this look! I'm not that great at applying eyeshadow - my right eye looks great, but then my left one looks like a muddy mess. Then there's applying it so it's noticeable on my mostly hooded eyes...anyway, I prefer smudging my eyeliner, just so it looks a bit less like I've drawn a line on my eyelid.

    1. Oh, girl, I'm with you. I always have to raise my eyebrow so you guys can see the makeup plus I always take pictures of right eye, because the left one is hooded even more, haha.

    1. I have a feel like cocoa blend palette is pretty popular for last 3-4 years, but I'm not surprised why. The quality vs price is amazing.

  15. Another triumph Michelle! Adore this look, and that butter pecan in the inner corner is particularly gorgeous. I'm an eyeliner smudger from way back - at my age I sure need to avoid harsh lines xxx

    1. Thank you Kat, so much again. I think for normal everyday use smudge eyeliner is much better and faster than normal harsh and sharp line.
