Burgundy With Touch Of Blue
Hello lovelies,
last week my order from Colourpop finally arrived (if you missed that post and want to know what I got, you can read it here) and I couldn't have waited to play with the Zingara quad, so I did. Before we start I must say that I was more impressed by these eyeshadows than I expected. They are creamy, rich, pigmented, silky and very smooth. And the second thing I wanted to say out loud is that I kinda struggled with these pictures this time, so please don't be sarcastic and pointed. The colors are faded than it was in reality and the picture is little bit blurry. I tried to play with the camera settings, but you know, I'm not a photographer, so I didn't fix it, haha.
Zingara quad contains four super shock shadows - Jinxie (pearlized soft beige and gold), Paradox (satin rich burgundy purple), Elixir (matte red bricks) and Seeker (matte reddish brown) and with these four I created this look. The very first step I always do is putting color into my crease and bring it up and blend it out. This time I chose to use the matte red brick color called Elixir. I just needed a few dips with a big fluffy brush, because it was a damn pigmentation. The color is stunning and I totally fell in love with it. Then I took a dense shading brush and applied Jinxie almost all over my lid, but I wasn't happy how it turned up, so I used my finger to intensify the color. Then I grabbed smaller fluffy brush and put Seeker on outter half of my lid. I also brought that color up to mix it up with the transition color. Honestly I was shock how that color showed up, becuase it looks like a warm dark brown in the pot, but on lid it turned out like a medium warm brown, strange right? Then I repeated it the same steps at least twice or three times to make sure that everything is nicely blended. The only color I didn't use yet was Paradox, so I blended it on my lower lash line and on the outter part I mixed it up with Seeker again. To finish this look I added blue eyeliner with an extra gold end, highliter to my inner corner (Sin from Shadow Box palette) and falsies. And voila, here we are.
Eyes:
Colourpop, Zingara quad - Jinxie, Elixir, Seeker and Paradox
Urban Decay, Shadow Box palette - eyeshadow Sin
Flormar, Miracle Pen Slimtouch in the shade Sapphire Blue
NYX, Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Silk
KISS, Looks So Natural Lashes
Eyebrow:
Essence, Eyebrow Stylist Set
I think this is a perfect bolder version of a day time makeup and I can't wait to put this on Friday.
What do you think? Would you wear this combination of burgundy and blue?
Have a great day!
Love, Michelle <3
I would be more than happy if you join the Bloglovin' party with me (I will follow back). :)

DeleteI cannot even explain how beautiful this eye makeup is! I've never thought to add a hint of blue and gold, but those two colours work so well within burgundy. Also I have serious eyebrow envy! xx

DeleteStunning eye look. I like how you used somewhat coloured eyeshadow with a bright blue eyeliner! Normally I'm too scared to do much with a bright eyeliner, but this has inspired me to use more colour in my looks. Absolutely gorgeous, and amazing photography too!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie. I think we shouldn't be scared to use more colorful looks and combine colors. :)
DeleteThat blue looks electric, I love it! Especially with the hint of glitter it makes it pop even more - so beautiful :)
